1. Aluminum Insert Core provides a durable connection to the mixer. This provides a secure fit that won’t wear out, crack or loosen over time.

2. Heavy-Duty Frame is made from reinforced nylon, which holds up well to the rigors of mixing. Commonly used for kitchen tools, nylon does not crack, craze or deteriorate when exposed to the high temperatures and harsh detergents of automatic dishwashers (like some other plastics). This material is so tough, in fact, it’s now being used in place of metal to make the racks in some dishwashers.

3. Alternating, Angled Silicone Wiper Fins  

  • wipe the bowl clean automatically and direct ingredients down and into the mixture.
  • mix ingredients both horizontally and vertically to ensure full incorporation.
  • allow chips and nuts to pass without being crushed or jammed against the bowl. Jammed ingredients can put extra strain on your motor.
  • are extra-long to accommodate minor variations in mixers and bowl shape. This is especially important for older mixers and those with a lot of “miles” on them.
  • are made from ultra-flexible, tear-resistant silicone, for easier cleaning and longer life.

KitchenAid Tilt Head 4.5 Qt and 5 Qt

Fits Artisan, UltraPower, Classic, Classic Plus, Accolade, K45, K45SS, KN15, KSM75, KSM90, KSM103, KSM110, KSM130, KSM150, KSM151, and KSM152.

In tilt-head mixers, the bowl is fixed to the base and the top of the mixer tilts back and forth for bowl access.

SideSwipe for KitchenAid 5-Qt Standard Bowl-Lift Mixers

Fits most KitchenAid 5-Qt Bowl-Lift models, including: Heavy Duty, K4SS, K5, K5A, K5SS, Professional 5 Series, Professional HD, KG25, KH25, KM25G, KP50, KPM5, KSM5, KSM450, KSM50HDP, KSM50P, KSMC50. Does NOT fit Professional 5-Plus or Pro 520.

This is the most common size lift mixer, where the bowl hangs on arms and lifts up and down using a crank lever.

SideSwipe for KitchenAid Wide Bowl-Lift Mixers

Fits ALL KitchenAid 6-Quart bowl-lift models, including Professional 600, Deluxe, Epicurean, KB26G, KD2661, KL26, KP2671. KP26M1X, KT265. Also fits Professional 5-Plus, KV25, Professional 520 (5-Qt), which feature a wide bowl. Does NOT fit most 5-Quart bowl-lift models. For these you will need SideSwipe KLN.

This least common style of mixer features a large, wide bowl and was most likely purchased in a specialty store. The crank lever sometimes has a black rubber handle.
